better comp heads sbc alloy or vette iron

still awaiting my diff parts to arrive now im looking at improving the sloppy 290hp good wrench 350 small block chevy .
currently im rolling 8.1 compression ratio so im looking for

A , some half decent alloy heads
B, Some good iron vette heads something to bring that comp ratio up a little .

I did have LS1 heads but gave them away,not sure they would have fitted. Still SBC though. They were 10.2 compression ratio.

I don think gen 1 interchange with gen 2 interchange with gen 3 heads without modifications.
Can be done, but not bolt on.

May need a bit of work, possible no better than what you have.

You might need different front springs with those due to the lower weight
