The idea was to try and build a classic Mustang and make it reliable and suitable for everyday driving with a bit more performance than standard. So, as you can see all the old and worn components were removed replaced or upgraded making this a 99% new car. This Mustang is very free revving and by far the quickest 302 of all the many Ford small block powered vehicles that I have built and driven. Having said all that, the car will require some finishing off but these are little things that could be done by almost anyone at home as all the main spannering work has been more or less done.

The main things remaining to be addressed are front and rear screens are getting a bit milky at the bottom but is still serviceable at the moment. The bonnet and boot lid will require a small repair at the edges the size of a fifty pence piece. body is solid but the paintwork is rough it looks like it has been applied with a yard brush but then you can paint it any colour you want, I was just going to run it for a while in grey primer or matt black while saving for a proper re-spray.

This Mustang has had a small fortune spent on new parts fitted to it so far that s not counting the initial purchase price of the base car. It is UK registered with an age-related number. But with a little more investment in paint and some trim it will be a near new Mustang in the end. The one and only reason this Mustang is being offered for sale or trade is because I recently had a major operation to have the big c removed but it seems I can t shake it and after thirty odd years of working on V8 muscle cars, Harleys, rods and the odd armoured car and WW2 military vehicle am now finding things a bit of a struggle now.

The reserve is nowhere near to what s been spent on the car and as to any trades or swaps I might be interested in a 50s American car or a nice hotrod maybe something military as long as their light to drive. No more Scammell, s or Diamond T, s for me anymore. Please bear with me and I will get some pictures taken and posted as soon as possible.
