Xmas Toy ( TA project) come early

As you can see the rear shocks are very rusty and wen you push them down are not balanced so new ones on order and new sway bar bushes as well

Exciting when you get new bits to fit. That sway bar is soo much thiner than the 4th gen. Looking good. Great to see progress photos like this.

Got the axle back from full internal rebuild. I put new brakes cylinders and brake lines on and now back on car

Axle looking good, nice new brake lines there with the gravel guards.
 
new hand brake cables as well new shocks can been seen in pic, and the work bench all safely under cover in its own garage for winter lol,
 
Replaced the rocker cover gaskets had small leak these were the new rubber type fitted a few years ago now back with new cork ones the rubber had gone brittle and hard.

Rubber gone hard already? The ones on mine are a different style of rubber, but seem very flexible even after being on the car for 8 yesrs. I did replace them on the engine build, the old ones still looked good.
Back to the old trusty cork seems like a good solution for you.
 
Yes wasn't impressed as not very old.. Was going to change plugs but took a couple all look good and running sweat at the moment so box of autolite plugs can go in spares box.
 
Brought this actuator vacuum thing for my el camino b4 I sold her found it in my spares box so changed on the TA as same unit mine very rusty so good job I had spare

What does the actuator vacuum thingy do?
 
It has a vacuum hose to from the manifold. So have to assume its to assist in autobox opperation mybe to do with kickdown not sure.or to help with gear change on auto I would have to Google it to be honest
