wanted 12 bolt axle posi diff or clutch plates

Hi all ! loving my new camino loads of power but my right wheel always brakes loose !

im guessing my diff clutch is worn out .

im looking for new plates / or diff .

also after a 72 chevelle or camino top dash and door cards

Start by replacing the diff oil and adding the correct additive - you might get lucky and it will fix it!

Yep, may get lucky with just an oil change.
If not the clutches could be worn, there are kits you can get, and videos on youtube, but you may need special tools. I recently had trouble with my rear end (wasn't just wind either) took it to Hauser racing in Northants for a complete rebuild in the end.

Agreed Dan - an oil change and additive is cheap enough to make it worth trying as a first fix.

Thats a good call, I just assumed he knew what was fitted but its a possibility!

to be honest that's true ! im also just going from previous seller info !
my jack is bust but if anyone is at white dove show sunday that maybe has a jack in the boot maybe I can cock a wheel and check .
if its open im presuming a lsd carrier will still slip right in there ?

Yes - assuming its a GM axle housing, then the housing's are the same between open and limited.
