This particular 2001 Lexus IS300 is three things: 1.) It’s powered by the V8 from a C6 Corvette. According to the car’s current owner, “The LS3 received many upgrades to improve performance, strength, reliability, and to support forced induction at some point in the future.” It has fewer than 15,000 miles on it and features 1.75-inch headers, the intake manifold from a 2010 Corvette, 42-pound injectors, a 92-mm throttle body, and the roller lifters from an LS7. A T56 6-speed manual, a limited-slip diff, and 3.73 gears put the LS3’s estimated 410-420 rwhp to the ground through 18-inch wheels and still-usable rubber, especially in the rear.2.) It’s familiar. LS1 Tech forum member ATSMATT had this very car back in 2010, when he ripped out its Japanese I6 and put some American firepower in its place. 3.) It’s for sale. The seller has made an extensive list of all of the modifications made to this 182,000-mile sedan and has made sure to mention its faults, such as the fact that the shifter can occasionally pop out of reverse and the less-than-new condition of the paint in certain areas. $22,000 takes this LS IS home.Chime in with your thoughts on the forum. >> #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
