Nissan has form for doing stuff like this. It"s fitted tracks to a Rogue (what Europeans call the X-Trail), Juke and even a 370Z Cabrio in the past. Now it"s gone for an Altima a big-ish saloon/sedan it sells in North America, which is available with all-wheel drive. Or all-track drive, if you like. The Altima-te AWD, which will be shown at a motor show in Montreal next month, is fitted with a set of Dominator" tracks from a company called American Track Truck. Said tracks are 1,220mm long, 750mm tall and 380mm wide a fair bit bigger than the 19-inch alloys Nissan fits at the factory. Substantial modifications have therefore been made. The arches, for example, have been flared by 180mm, increasing the car"s overall width by 360mm. This process took 150 hours to complete.
