As Chris Harris proved recently, the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is the definitive everyday, all-season supercar.Comfortable, punishingly effective and flipping fast, it ticks all the boxes. Especially if you like getting a sun tan/wind burn at over 200mph. But even though it"s exceedingly competent and ticks all the supercar stat boxes, some people Matt LeBlanc included believe that it"s too sedate visually to be a proper super car. German tuner TechArt has obviously been listening to this important consumer feedback, and come back with this: the GTstreet R.Admitedly, it may not be to everyone"s taste, but you can"t fault the efforts to try and inject more super into this supercar. Super in the shape of an active aero kit complete with massive two-tier carbon rear wing to increase downforce, reduce lift, and improve cooling to the water and oil coolers.TechArt has also replaced many panels (front wings and bonnet) with carbon fibre for increased lightness, fitted 20-inch forged alloys, an active coilover suspension and shouty exhaust system. Then it re-skinned the interior with new, colourful leather and more Alcantara before giving it a splash of rave paint outside.Work has also been done on the engine. 720bhp of work (a 140bhp increase over standard) so it"ll hit 62mph in 2.7 seconds (down from 2.9), 124mph in 8.5 (instead of 9.9), and top out at 211mph (instead of 205mph).So, supercar or super car?
