This week"s Throwback video takes us back to 1988, when General Motors was pushing the young, sporty Pontiac brand with a catchy, wonderfully 80s theme song titled "Ride, Pontiac Ride".Back in the 1980s, society was all about being young and vibrant, with questionable music and even more questionable trends. For Pontiac, their trend was pushing the brand as one that was stylish, modern and sporty focusing on the flavors of the youth movement.This 1988 Pontiac commercial reminds us how sporty the brand was, focusing on an aggressive, sporty design from top to bottom. Included in this are the Grand Am, the Firebird, the Grand Prix, the Trans Am, the Fiero, the Sunbird and the LeMans.
