Lakes style Model T hot rod.
This is a turnkey, running and driving vehicle, fun to drive and ready to enjoy, having recently passed its MOT and is taxed. I have copies of MOTS going back to 2008. It has a 3 letter/3 number registration, 1938.

It has a Rover V8 engine, Edelbrock carb, tubular exhaust manifolds and automatic gearbox.
It has a 1927 Model T steel bulkhead with Fibreglass body mounted on a steel chassis. The fibreglass body is re-enforced with steel and wood and is fitted with a Duval style windscreen. There is a significant steel tubular frame mounted behind the bulkead extending into the front cowl. The floor is built at the bottom of the chassis to lower the seating position and increase space for the driver. The body has been channeled over the chassis resulting in a very distinctive low stance, the doors and boot lid are non opening.

The suspension consists of beam front axle, transverse leaf springs front and rear, panhard rod at rear and servo assisted drum brakes all round. The tyres are 16 inch Firestone wide white piecrust whitewalls with plenty of tread, mounted on steel rims.

It is fitted with Pop Browns wiring loom (with fuses and relays). The temperature, fuel, oil pressure gauges and rev counter, wiper/washer and horn all work. There is a detachable towbar with electric socket.

Paintwork is patinated with some marks and crazing, however this does not detract from the appearance, which is of aged and used, characterful hot rod. Interior is fairly simple and the seats could benefit from refurbishment. A roll of vinyl (matching interior panels) comes with the car to retrim the seats.

This is a distinctive low styled hot rod with plenty of character. It is fun to drive and always attracts attention wherever it goes !

The car can been seen near Basingstoke, Hampshire. Viewing welcome.
