The tractor was already there, didn't come up with us, just incase you wondered.

Dodge Dakota? Is it a 6 or an 8?
Thats an 8. Owned by the same guy with the Year One Trans-Am amongst many other vehicles, Alan. He is in the middle of the photo, next to his wife's yellow Mustang.

We don't see it very often, its got extremely low miles.

Looks like a regular Firehawk. What did YO do to it?
I know the YO 2nd gens very well, but 4th gens are not my specialty despite owning one for 10years!

I don't know, has 380HP on the hood, which I believe is more than the SLP Firehawk. I really don't know what the differences are though. A few bolt-ons would easily net you 380HP. Next time i see it I'll get some under the hood photos.

The WS6 was rated at 320 or 325 hp and the firehawk was rated at 345hp.

The firehawk was a performance upgrade done by SLP. You get the firehawk hood, diff exhaust, chrome wheels, firehawk badgeing, different rear spoiler, and I believe a different air lid.

Cant find specs on the Year One.

The Firehawk is not uncommon, but I would be interested in finding out more about the YO version, wonder if it's more rare than the Blackbird version?

It has PR01 in his windscreen, its one of 10, and its the 1st one made. I thought there was a YearOne website, but it seems to be a parts sale place now. I'm sure you could find the numbers produced and all the history behind it.

GMMG Blackbird
Registry for Blackbirds. It mentions on here YearOne Blackbirds 10 production and 2 prototypes were made, Alan's car is PR1 and the do mention in this text that this was silver.
Jean will be sending me a web link with info, but it may be the same info.
This page qt the bottom has a table. You will see Alan's name next to PR1

Dodge Dakota? Is it a 6 or an 8?

Its not a Dakota, its a SST (Super Sports Truck)

" The 1997 Dodge Ram SS/T took the sport truck image to a new level for full-size pick-ups. A specially-tuned 250-horsepower 5.9-liter V8 engine, chrome-tipped sport-tuned exhaust, a muscular 17-inch aluminium wheel and performance tire package, and Viper-like racing stripes set this truck apart from the pack. The Ram SS/T evolved from Dodge's success with the special edition Indy Ram, the official truck for the 1996 Indianapolis 500 that was produced in a limited run of just 2,802 vehicles to support Dodge's role as Official Pace Car with the 1996 Viper GTS. When demand for the Indy outweighed supply for the truck, Chrysler realized they had a hit they found out the appeal wasn't just in the tie-in to the race, but in the inherent performance characteristics of the truck. Chrysler paid Careful attention to maximizing content on the truck without pricing it out of the customer's reach.

The 1997 Ram SS/T includes all the standard features on the Ram SLT. The SS/T package includes the engine and exhaust modifications, the racing stripes, color-keyed bumper, grille, lower fascia and rear valance panel, tachometer, dual-note horn and fog lights. Exterior color choices include black, emerald green and flame red, all with silver stripes, or bright white with blue stripes. The SS/T is Destin to be collectable considering the limited 2 year production.

Back for 1998 the Limited Edition Dodge Ram SS/T (Super Sport Truck) received only minor changes. The Dodge Ram SS/T is a unique factory street version of the popular Dodge Ram. The throaty, head-turning exhaust note of the SS/T insures you will probably hear it before you see it. For 1998 the specially-tuned 5.9-liter (360) V8 engines horsepower was lowered to 245.
The SS/T package for 1998 includes engine and exhaust modifications, racing stripes, color-keyed bumpers including the grille, lower fascia and rear valance panel. A tachometer, dual-note horn and fog lights are also included. Exterior color choices include black, emerald green and flame red, all with silver stripes, or bright white with blue stripes.
Both 1997 and 1998 models of the bold, in your face Dodge Ram SS/T were a hit with sport truck enthusiasts. Making these Limited Edition Trucks very desirable and very collectible, but also very hard to find. 1998 was the final year for the Dodge Ram SS/T." This was info from a US site. You can tell by the spelling of colour.

Dan said you were interested in special editions. Happy Christmas

Thanks for the info Jean, that makes some interesting reading.
