If you wanted a more track-focused Camaro but didn’t want to go full-on Z/28, the 1LE was for you. Taking the already potent SS Camaro and improving handling is a great combination. But with the new Camaro, the 1LE went away. Of course, we know that wouldn’t be for too long, because Chevrolet just announced the new 1LE.The 1Le performance package is even more obtainable for the 2017 Camaro. Why? Because the it’ll be available on both the V8 and V6 versions of the car. That’s right, for those who don’t buy the V8 (and I’m not sure who those are), they can still spec up a 1LE.So what does the V6 1LE get you? Well, you start with either a 1LT or 2LT Camaro, and it adds Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, modified suspension components, and standard Brembo brakes. Recaro seats and Chevrolet’s Performance Data Recorder are options. For the V8, you start with a 1SS package and you get standard magnetic ride control, FE4 suspension tuning, a new electronically-controlled limited slip differential, the Goodyear Eagle F1s, the Recaros and the Performance Data Recorder.Visually, the cars get specific wheels and a satin black hood. We’ll have more pictures and information from the show floor later this week, but in the meantime you can check out the entire press release below. Be sure to let us know what you think about the new Camaro 1LE over in our forums! #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
