1957 Chevy 3600 3/4 ton pickup in excellent original, stock condition. This is a TWO-OWNER truck with 66,XXX original miles. Original, numbers matching drivetrain--235 six cylinder Stovebolt engine with a Muncie SM420 toploader 4 speed manual transmission. A/C has been added to make it look as though it was a factory option available in 1957.

Original Brewster Green color. Original vinyl seat covering and headliner. Options and accessories include column-mounted turn signals, oil bath air cleaner, passenger visor, rear view mirror, deluxe heater, Unity/Chevrolet fog lights, Unity-GM spotlight, peeper mirrors, passenger side door mirror, sun visor, dealer-installed Chevrolet running lights, hood rockets, locking gas cap, door handle fingernail protectors, passenger door key lock and a few more.

It has factory 19.5" rims with hubcaps. These are VERY rare. The matching spare rim/tire is attached underneath the bed in its original factory mount. The tires are Bridgestone 12 ply 8R19.5" radials in great shape. Besides the 5 tires and rims on the truck, an extra matching rim and tire is included in the sale

The stock Eaton HO52 rear end has been changed from a 4.56 to 4.10 gears to provide better top end. The speedometer has been calibrated to the new gears. The truck can cruise comfortably at 65 MPH.
The A/C installation was a labor of love to both make it look authentic to 1957 and to avoid altering anything original on the truck...completely custom designed, fabricated and installed. The A/C was designed to look as though it would have if GM had offered it as an option on the "57 trucks. It has been installed so that it can be easily removed if someone ever wants to take the truck back to true bone stock. The evaporator unit is mounted under the seat to keep it hidden. The controls were fabricated to fit into the stock ashtray opening. Booster cooling fans and the condenser are mounted inside the grill with no modifications to stock hardware. The stock dash, firewall, engine bay and deluxe heater remain unmolested. The generator was upgraded to an alternator as part of the installation because of the extra electrical load caused by A/C.

It would be quick and easy to remove all A/C components and reinstall the original generator...even the original voltage regulator remains on the firewall as part of the custom installation. A factory optional six blade fan was added for extra cooling...the original four blade fan is a quick bolt-on to go back to stock. All original parts...brackets, generator, fan, ashtray, etc. have been saved and will be included in the sale.
A camper was installed when the truck was brand new, so the bed has always been protected. There is no evidence that there has ever been a load in the bed. The Southern yellow pine bed and all the metal is absolutely pristine. Side boards were made out of matching Southern yellow pine.

All glass is original except the driver"s side door window. The original cracked when it was removed to recondition the window regulator. It was replaced with a non-original-but-matching green tint reproduction.

The correct jack, handle and lug wrench are installed behind the seat in the original factory bracket.

This was originally a North Carolina truck. The original license plate has been restored and is mounted on the front of the truck.

The truck is in mint condition in and out. All mechanicals are excellent. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJge6v9E-nM
