Just saw on the News that the use of cash is on the rise.

Well, apart from the half hour wait due to previous customer and only one operative working there, they did all I wanted with no fuss at all.

Rarely use the Post office myself, not sure when Denmead re-opens, some say by the end of the year and others say March '24.

I will have to go there next week, watch this space.....

My local Barclays is now closed. However they have an office in the Community center. This opens 4 days a week but have no cash available and can't deal with cheques (Remember them?) etc. They can only deal with standing orders, direct debits and other admin stuff.

Not tried Milton Tandoori, do they have a restaurant as well? Used to use the one on Hambeldon road but quality is not good anymore. For Chinese I use 'Lucky star' in Denmead, haven't been for while but used to cash only. Not had Fish n chips for years.

Last few times I went to my local Indian I ask 'Card or cash' and they say either. However, due to the poor quality of food I no longer go there! Going off thread slightly here but good point anyway. (Maybe restaurants could be a good new post?)

Restricting sales will help but there will always be a 'Black market'. I was more concerned about the racers. If you can prove you are using NOS for motor sport there should not be a problem.

Doesn't worry me but will this NOS ban affect the racing folks out there? Just wondered.....

I forget the figures but vey little 'Road tax' actually goes into the roads. It just fills the government coffers!

Can some of the pipes you need to be replaced be taken off in advance and then you could section them to determine the ID (Internal diameter)?
