    Running Trans-Am In

Hi Yes, the CRO is good for up to 500 miles, so I would use it for 4-500 miles to finish off the running in. It's also fine for dyno running in, ie high rev running, so you will not have any issues if you want to have a bit of fun. The CFS NT+ will be ideal for when it's run in. Cheers Tim

    Running Trans-Am In

Hi Dan Personally, I would say it's worth giving it a few more miles with a running in oil. The 120 miles with the run in oil has probably done a lot of the running in, but it's likely that the synthetic has stopped the running in. Using a running in oil for a bit longer will hopefully allow...

    Running Trans-Am In

Hi Dan Are you running it in with a synthetic? If so, that is not going to help the running in as the oil is too good. You want a mineral based oil for the running in, so everything beds together. This is ideal. Millers Oils CRO 10w-40 Engine Oil Cheers Tim

    Running Trans-Am In

Hi Good to see that it's not leaking, but as it's consuming oil, I would probably go for a 5w-40, unless it stops burning oil when it's fully run in. 5w40 Engine Oi Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT+, Motul Sport/300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition...

    Running Trans-Am In

US and EU oils are often different in terms of specification, but a 5w-30 is a 5w-30 no matter where it is. Often, different grades are listed for different countries and that is due to different ambient temperatures, but in the US it's odd as the temperature can differ a lot between Arizona and...

    Amsoil has landed at Opies!

Thanks for that, seems to clear it up. The Motul Gear 300LS, Millers CRX NT LS, Gulf Competition LS and Red Line GL5 are idealas it needs a 75w-90 LSD oil. They contain the friction modifier for LSDs already. Limited Slip Differential (LSD) & Axle Car Oil Cheers Tim

    Amsoil has landed at Opies!

This is an odd one. I checked the database when I replied earlier and it lists a 08 onwards model, so I checked that and it listed the 75w-140. Now I've just checked again and they list an 09 specific model, but with no diff oil recommendation. I checked the 2010 model as well and that lists...

    Amsoil has landed at Opies!

Hi Your diff takes a 75w-140 oil and the Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip, Gulf Gear LS, Red Line 75w-140 GL5, Fuchs Sintopoid LS, Motul Gear Competition and Millers CRX NT LS are good options. 75w-140 Gear Oil For Manual Gearboxe Cheers Tim
