Ethereum L2 Payments to reduce fees

I confess to being so lazy I use nicehash and use the withdraw funds to UK bank account button too often. It appears in my Santander account within 24 hours on working days. Probably costs around 5% round trip but I can catch the peaks on currency and coin prices to help offset fees

Mining Rig fell over but why? Black screen, no response.

I found my rigs were much more stable after I beefed up all the riser cables with decent gauge cables and got rid of those SATA plugs on the risers. I also beefed up the PCI-E power cables to 2mm^2 I would recommend using both motherboards as the less cards in a motherboard the more stable it...

Mining Rig fell over but why? Black screen, no response.

I have thought about more cards now NBminer is at 70% on LHR cards. Main issue is the payback on a 3060Ti is 300 days after electric even with NB miner and Ethereum is moving to proof of stake in December. Could mean the market will be flooded with cheap ex mining cards when the Ethereum party...

Mining Rig fell over but why? Black screen, no response.

Just finishing a batch of cables for my next rig With a modular PSU you can get 6 outlets for peripherals (Floppy / Sata etc) With these looms I can power a riser of each outlet with 2mm squared cable to each riser Saves all the PCI outlets for the GPU's Those Sata adaptors with the risers and...

    RTX 3090 High GDDR6X RAM Temperatures of 110deg C

It is 3500 rpm and 120CFM but its a high pressure fan so it can push air through the channels of the heatsink without the flow dropping off a cliff

    PCIe Expanders

My vote is you cannot plug an expander into an expander but I am ready to be proved wrong, how did it go?

    RTX 3090 High GDDR6X RAM Temperatures of 110deg C

Finally got the High power Delta Server fan 10 Watts and fast enough to take your finger off :) Maximum heatsink Temp now 29 Degrees but Ram Temps exactly the same (2 Degrees higher but my garage is now 2 Degrees higher ambient). Comes down to my previous thoughts and the same demonstrated with...

    RTX 3090 High GDDR6X RAM Temperatures of 110deg C

Yes the 120mm was not enough flow so it was worse :( I need a High power 120mm or i will get another ex-server Hi power 80mm and centralise them across the heatsink. The thermal camera does show the RAM chips hiding behind the backplate really well

    RTX 3090 High GDDR6X RAM Temperatures of 110deg C

Thermal camera of PNY 3090 backplate mining ethereum The heatsink and fan took the RAM chips from 86 Degrees to 68 Degrees Just need another High power 80mm fan to cover the left of the heatsink and knock down the 36 degree peak

Mining Rig fell over but why? Black screen, no response.

That sounds a bit of a nightmare but at least the GPU's are OK Sometimes you never find the reason I dismantled a rig to smarten it up and a Radeon VII never worked again, put a different card in the riser and all was fine. I have always used one PSU per mining rig as I am always worried about...

    Remote Miner Monitoring

There are so many remote monitoring apps but sometimes you just need to turn a miner on and off to reset it The Kasa HS110 wifi plug lets you do that but also reports power usage through the plug on an app. It is so accurate I can instantly see if if a single GPU in a 5 card rig is down and...

    RTX 3090 High GDDR6X RAM Temperatures of 110deg C

Looking at you results your copper backplate and heatsink must be performing better than my stock backplate with a sandwiched on heatsink. My fan although only 80mm is a 0.6amp 12 volt high power one mounted straight on the finned aluminum its a noisy bugger, could that be the difference? The...

    RTX 3090 High GDDR6X RAM Temperatures of 110deg C

Thanks Dan, I was just too scared to strip a 2k card with my clumsy fingers.

    RTX 3090 High GDDR6X RAM Temperatures of 110deg C

I thought I had high temps on my PNY 3090 running at 86°C with a 1100 Meg memory overclock The backplate was hitting 72°C above the GDDR6X chips on my thermal camera I added a heatsink and 80mm fan as shown using 4 of the existing backplate mounting screws and some cheap 2 W/M/K heatsink grease...
