What have you done to your vehicle today?

Jacked it up and taken the front wheels off. Had a sound from the front when putting some weight on the fender bouncing the suspention.
Checking all bolts are tight, greesing grease nipples(all of them are new anyway) Its likely to be ther poly bushings on the sway bar. So really as not driving the car these days, just slowly checking and greasing stuff.
Also noticed a little play in the front drivers side wheel bearing, it is a tiny bit of play, but the passenger side dosn't have play, Its only been on there a couple of years, perhaps damaged by a pot hole. So a new wheel bearing arriving today. All good fun, gets more use out of the pit.

Wheel bearing is here. No magnet, do they think I'm Darren? Although perhaps they know our new fridge dosn't have a metal front....

Get some marine poly graphite grease and re-do the poly bushings.
I used the grease that came with it, the opaque silicone grease. I must have missed some somewhere if it is the bushing creaking. I'll get a tube of that stuff you recommend and give it ago. (y)

Wheel bearing went on very easily. All poly bushes attended to and tightened things up a bit. Now with the car back on the ground and me bouncing up and down and the suspention it is totally silent. Not knowing the source of the original noise as attacked soo many areas while it was all jacked up over the pit.

Test drive later today, I hope.

Crap weather meant not much outside work so bought the scuttle panel trim in to replace the rotted mesh, made templates and cut new mesh,,just needs a new coat of black paint

Might be working on a toybota today lol,

Toyota land cruiser 3.4lt petrol changed the TPS but didn't cure the fault of not revving over 2.5k so checked the crank sensor well water damage and put meter on crank sensor on ohm would be intermittent working on off so have to order new one and due to being 1999 obd1 not obd2 so my scanners won't read it but have found a obd1 to obd2 lead so going to order one.

Crank sensor should read on and off dependibg on position of the crank. It reads a wheel that spins, gives open/closed pulses so the ecu knows where TDC is.
