• Abbotts Ann Festival of Motoring 2017

Renegades attended the Abbotts ann Fete.

As a club we have been doing this for a few years now. Invited some time ago by an email asking if car clubs would like to attended the Classic car show. Abbotts Ann is a village near Andover, we meet on Portsdown hill at Micks Burger van to leave there at 10am, for a slow drive up to Abbotts Ann, going through Wickham, A32 and onto the A272, over the M3 onto the A34, then onto the A303 and down the A343, about 80mins drive. Not too far, good to give the car a bit of a run.
Manage to get the gazebo in the Trans-Am and the table, club clothing. Provided a bit of shade for us as it was quite warm that day. As I got onto the field I could smell something burning, reminded me of my childhood when I used to burn cut grass with a magnifying glass. Recognising this smell it must have been the exhaust on the fresh cut field, so I kept the car moving so not to heat up one patch too much.
Food was good, a BBQ tent for burgers and sausages, a beer tent next to it, ice cream van. Plenty to see, birds of prey demonstration, dog show, unusual vegetables, ferret racing, plenty of stalls to browse. A great day out.

      "Birds of pray?"

Nuns? Is there a convent nearby?
