Hi, I am in need of some parts for my 1949 GMC pickup. It has just come from New Mexico where I think over the years they must have thrown away the bits that they didnt use very much! Looking for a foot activated park brake assembly, spare 6 stud wheel and side carrier and a stock horn. Also if anyone knows where I could source parts for a Carter W-1 carb in the UK?
I have also thought about fabricating the brake parts but need to see what they look like, does anyone have a similar assembly on their vehicle that I could take a look at? Cheers

There is a place called Stumpys Toy Town, around the New forest area, he has loads of the older vehicles about. There is a very good chance he can help you with parts. Stumpys retro American import specialist - Auto's, Rods, Trucks and Bike (http://www.stumpystoytown.co.uk/)

For new parts, its worth giving Realsteel a shot. Real Steel (http://www.realsteel.co.uk/) Their website many not be brilliant, but very knowledgeable and helpful on the phone.

There is Also www.rockauto.co.uk not sure if they will do your year, but they do have a discount code on this website recently posted.
