Can Am Nationals, 22nd of August 2005 |
General information about Can Am NationalsAnnual event put on by the Can Am Car Club, St Leonards, near Ringwood Hampshire. Before 2008 it was known as Can-Am Festival of Motoring. The event generates money for local charities including the Wessex Autistic Society in 2004, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Trust in 2005, Huntington's Disease in 2006. The main show is generally held in August, this event is organised by the show committee, who put on a really great show. In 2005 the venue for this show was moved to a new location. The Can Am Nationals event on 22nd of August 2005Was an early start on this Sunday morning 21st Aug 2005. Left about 7.30am, filled up with fuel and met up with two Trans-Am's at Rownhams service station on the M27. One was a 2001 Black Firehawk, and the other was a 78 Gold Trans-Am. Went on a cruise to Kingston Lacey Hours (Wimbourne). Many cars were there, all parked in the field. Been catogorised into ages of cars, although many people parked anywhere. Great day out turned out to be very hot. The Yellow corvette with the flag won best modern car, the Red 2000 Trans-Am (my one)won best runner up in that catagory.
