It's crazy, we have no banks near and a lady of 91 had cheques bounced because her signature had changed. All they kept saying was can't you bring her to the bank! They have no idea of the disruption bank closures have caused. Things that took minutes now take days to sort.

I don't have a Smart phone either. I went to the bank desk in the Library in Havant. The door was left open so that anyone in the vacinity could hear the conversation, as I did of the person before me. They took several pictures of my id but were then unable to upload them to the branch...

I'm with you, I only log in to the bank on my home computer. I don't trust apps, but it seems all the companies want you to have one. With all the troubles in the world, you can bet there will be more hacks such as the ones on M&S and Co-op.
