Hoping to get some time on the TA today. jack it up higher at lunch put it on ramps front and back. Need to see mum after work, so after 7.30pm will try to put the box in. That is if I don't get sent to Ireland today. Worked till about 1am, created a fix, so it may work, but can't verify if anything else got messed up, the simulation looks very good. I can do some visual checks on the display this morning, they can do further testing in Ireland. I sent the build to them earlier.
    Fingers crossed.

Parked my little car next to the Trans-Am yesterday as had the gearbox in the back, wanted to try to get as close to the work shop as possible.
As we all know the Kia Picanto is a small car, probably the smallest Kia in the range. Now look at it compared to the TransAm which is regarded as a big car.

The Kia looks pretty big in comparison I think.

So the Intake is at work, and we are planning where to put the solonoids, so its been drawn up in cad to work out the best positions and rotations. All four are going to be mounted on a bar which mounts onto two of the fuel rail screws. The 4 will be in line from left to right when looking in the engine by.

In my lunch break we wanted to get the car as high as safely possible ready to put in the gearbox this evening. So popped it onto 4 ramps, cat cant move anywhere, then we can jack the car up on the body to get a little more height if need be.

Engine still present, and looking mighty fine.

    Clutch still in there too.

Lifted the gearbox onto a pair of jacks, so we could adjust the tilt. The engine is tipped back a bit on its engine mounts. Threading the shaft through the center of the clutch. All felt stable on two jacks, so we could slide it in slowly, through the center of the clutch disc and towards the spigot bearing.

Gap between the bell housing and box getting smaller

So with the box all buttoned up, next it to attached the torsion bar thingy.

Now with the red rubber, it didn't have much play, it was a bit of a challenge to get this on the end, but with a mixture of force and lowering the box it went on.

Prop shaft is also on too.
    Great progress last night.

Around 10pm we were all packed up and ready to go.
