Yeah thanks, needed that push to do it, and glad so far with the results. May as well do something towards the car while waiting for parts.

Popped round to Tonys last night (around 9 liter twin turbo custom capri) to look at some electrics. We were talking about adjustment of the rockers as his are adjustable ones. Mine are not, so will all depends on pushrod length, just gonna be a case of checking pre-load. All should be fine as being supplied as a complete kit.
Anyway he has put more ideas into my mind. I have the intake manifold off, going to paint it. I also have a 300hp NOS kit sitting in my garage. Why not fit it, even if just for looks, it will look the part, just won't put any gas in the bottle or plum in the fuel jets. It's a direct port nitrous kit, the intake manifold already has boss's ready to be drilled and tapped.

It doesn't have to be 300hp, you could down jet it and add a 100 shot?

Yep true. I have an assortment of jets with the kit. Think there is even 50's in there too. Bottle would fit in the boot if I had nothing else in there.

You can get brackets to fit the transmission tunnel in between the rear seats and is designed to hold the bottle at the correct angle. Makes operating the valve easier without fitting an electric opener too. Just make sure you add a vent pipe so that it vents outside the car!

Commonly known as poly-locks. I'm sure I mentioned these before somewhere in your engine troubles discussions.

Post 983 in "what have you done to your vehicle today".
Knew I'd mentioned them before, and if you have a valve train geometry problem they can definitely help.
