    I have to agree, my GTI was very sluggish, I wouldn't say it was a fast car shame because it was solid and I really liked it, but I wanted a car with more oomph so I sold it after about 5 months?

    The Mk3 was significantly heavier than the Mk2, so even more sluggish. Handling wasn't great either.
