Classic American Car Show Events for 2008 - 2009
Many classic American car show events go on during the year, we have listed ones near by and one we will possibly attend. Many future events, however its certainly not all. If you know of an event that should be listed here then please email us.
The events listed are not all organised by the Solent Renegades Car Club only the ones with the Renegades logo next to it. This page is used to list local events in the area just like a newspaper, we cannot be held responsable for an event that has a bad turnout.

Meet in he public car park oppersite clarance peir, after 6pm free parking. This event is now run by the Solent Renegades. No Burnouts please. Many cars turn up and go for a cruise around old Portsmouth and along Southsea seafront, many American and Classic cars.

Anual Event organised by the Victory Wheelers on Hayling Island.
This is the 3rd Annual event of the Hayling Reunion. The event starts around 10am.

Guildford Cruise - Burger King
An event that has been going on for years, used to be marshalled, but now is a free for anyone to enter car park. Many American muscle, classic and custom cars, be there early about 5pm, many Jap cars and other customs cars will be there too.

Hayling Cruise - Eastoke
Meet at the car park in Eaststoke Hayling Island. The cruise usually starts about 7pm. Not sure if this is just the summer months. This event is meant to be an all year round event.

A monthly event at Goodwood, each month its a different selection of cars, and free to attend.
Each of the summer months Goodwood holds a breaksfast club on the 1st Sunday of each month, each month has a different theme. However even if your car dosn't match the theme you can still park up. The theme for this event is:- ‘Supercar Sunday – the ultimate performance machines’
Attracting: Every form of mouth-watering, high-powered performance exotica – cars and superbikes’

Can Am Lazy Sunday
The first Can Am show of the year is "Lazy Sunday" which is held at St Edwards School, Dale Valley Rd, Poole, Dorset BH15 3HY the date for 2008 will be Sunday June 1st, it will be organised by the local branch members, it is a relaxed day out and has something for all the family. The event attracts a growing number of vehicles every year, and hopefully will continue to do so. Below are articles from previous shows. You never know who will turn up!

A fund rasing event at Denmead school on Saturday. They are in need of show cars, aim to get there before 12noon.

A monthly event at Goodwood, each month its a different selection of cars, and free to attend.
Each of the summer months Goodwood holds a breaksfast club on the 1st Sunday of each month, each month has a different theme. However even if your car dosn't match the theme you can still park up. The theme for this event is:-
‘Soft-top Sunday – a taste of the British summer’
Attracting: Any open-top car, however roofless

Swanmore Fete
Swanmore village fete and carnival, show cars should assemble at the Brickmakers arm's swanmore between 10-11am. Then classic car parade through village to the recreation ground.

Double LL Club - Classic Show
Held at The Showground, Five Heads Road, Horndean, Hampshire.
The Double LL Club invites you to attend our “Classic Vehicle Show” at the “Showground”
They welcome all manner of entries, be they veteran, vintage, classic, custom or unusual vehicles of all descriptions (bikes, cars, commercials, military, tractors, etc) or stationary engines, organs, collections of bygones, models, etc.

Worthing Rod and Custom
Once known as Worthing Sunny Sunday, new organisers have named it Worthing Rod and Custom. This event is located in Steyne Gardens, Worthing, West Sussex. Many American, Classic cars and bikes turn up to this superb event. Good for the whole family. Refreshments, live band. Although last year was a little damp, every year the weather has behaved, and usually end up being a sunny day.

Can Am Nationals
Annual event put on by the Can Am Car Club, St Leonards, near Ringwood Hampshire. Before 2008 it was known as Can-Am Festival of Motoring. The event generates money for local charities including the Wessex Autistic Society in 2004, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Trust in 2005, Huntington's Disease in 2006. The main show is generally held in August, this event is organised by the show committee, who put on a really great show. In 2005 the venue for this show was moved to a new location.

April 2009 Events
Fri 10th

Wheels Day
Good Friday Annual Event at Rushmoor Arena in Aldershot Hampshire. Entry is £5, for up to date info visit the organisers website, Surrey Street Rodders. Expect to see well over 2000 cars at this event ranging from Street Rods, Custom Cars, American, Bikes, Vans, Classic, Historic and Dragsters, you name it they will be there. Show opens to the public to 10am. Refreshments and food available, fun fair, trade and craft stands and music all day. Don’t miss the next Wheels day, it’s a great day out, its on Easter Friday every year. This is a superb show to kick of the show season, hopefully seing some cars that have been kept off the roads over the winter and the owners taking them out for a play.
