• Canamania 2016

The Can-Am car club host an annual event named Canamania 2016. This is a superb American Classic car show. Julian's Road, Wimborne on the 28th August 2016. 9am-4pm.
This show always had a great turn out and more last year than the year before.
Gates opened at 0900 and 1600. Admission was £5 per vehicle, £3 per Motorcycle and £2 for pedestrians.
The Renegades met at Rownhams Services M27, with the aim to leave there at 9.15am. We were joined by the Victory Wheelers too which had the same leaving time. so we all cruised together. What a great view in the rear view mirror seeing all these cars following. They put me in the lead, I do keep reminding them about the time I took a convoy of cars around a multi storey car park on the way to Worthing once by accident. The trip to this show went without a hitch. Most of the roads are dual carriageway so a great chance for public to overtake and the cruise to stay together. Clare and Dave met us near Ringword as they come from Swindon, so was great to see them again in there new car, a 2009 challenger which won a price at the Can-am show for the best car of that decade. There was a bit of light drizzle today which may have put off many cars but still a great turn out of 150-200 vehicles.

Yes you do, and usually you get get the back end of the vette overtaking you when you exit the services, so we want to see that in the Challenger :P

Not sure of time, gonna be around 9:40 - 9:50 I expect. I can get Sarah to text Claire when we get near.

yes - that was scary and considering the traction control was ON!!! Definately needed new pants after that one, and not something I want to repeat. Fortunately the traction control is a little more fool proof on the Challenger!

Yes weather report seems to be showing rain. Fingers crossed they are wrong.
Good venue, and usually loads of cars. Hope the threat of rain dosn't ruin it for them.

Just had really heavy rain and a thunderstorm. I was washing the car but got rained off so it looks terrible. Plus I guarantee the roads will be shite now. Oh well. Let's see what it's doing in the morning.

Thanks. Trophy unexpected as car looked terrible after aborted clean yesterday and a wet journey down.
Good day despite the weather. I didn't buy it to keep it garaged so it's gonna get used!
