• Wheels Day 2016

Wheels Day is organised by the Surrey Street Rodders and this one was the 42nd year of the event. Its the biggest Aldershot Car Show of the year and falls on Good Friday based at Rushmore Arena, Aldershot, Hampshire.

This 2016 Wheels Day was on Good Friday 25th March 2016. Its a Hot rod and custom car show and it was a great success again last year. They were limited to 750 vehicles, and although the field looked a quarter full, it probably wasn't far off 750.

So thanks to the Surrey Street Rodders for this event. The Surrey Street Rodders have a Facebook Page for this event.

To show your car you had to pre-enter at www.wheelsday.net. Its was £10 entry which for a show this size and so much to see its good value.
Extra passenger tickets will be available to purchase at the gate for £5 per adult.

2016 Was great weather, hadn't rained for a couple of weeks before, but rained the day before Wheels day. Some parts of the field were a little sponge, and a couple of cars got stuck, but many people around to help much. Still this didn't put a downer on the day as such a splendid turn out of both show vehicles and trade stands. soo much to look around we started at 9am, and didn't stop walking till 3pm, still didn't get around everything. Took many photos while walking around, and many people to talk to. Although we took hundreds of photos there will be many we missed.

Do you see you vehicle in the photos? if so tell us more about your vehicle, we can added it to the description of the image. also feel free to sign up to the forum and add your vehicle to the garage section.

This is the 42nd Wheels Day. Hopefully many more to come too. We took two cameras with us to Wheels Day in 2016 and 2015 and a good deal of photos in the links below.
696 photos from Wheels Day 2016
295 photos from Wheels Day 2016 by Sarah far better quality than my ones.

398 photos of Wheels Day 2015
254 more photos of Wheels Day 2015 by Sarah

The Solent Renegades met at Morrisons in Horndean for a convoy up to Wheels Day, we left Morrisons at 8am and we pretty much stayed all together all the way up but got split up on the entry to Wheels Day which was to be expected.

Ok - so that changes my schedule.
I was planning on an end of March MOT and tax, but to not lose a month just to attend Wheels day I need to bring my deadline forward to end of February.
Not going to have the new exhaust system by then though.
Now I really have to crack on - and i wasn't planning on working on the car this weekend due to other things need doing (I need a new suit - my old one doesn't fit!!)

Wonder how many people will put there car back on the road and loose a month sort of depends what else is on or wait till april could be a decider for some people?

Its under £20 of tax you will loose, could easily spend way more than that on fuel but by blipping the throttle a few times. Just think of the extra month of pleasure of driving, and ironing out any glitches it may have.

Popham not on this year, not sure if that is the one you went to last year.

Will it let you register without uploading a picture, perhaps you could send a link to them of the car in the photo gallery on here. http://www.solent-renegades.co.uk/me...57534-030.html
