    LS7 Powered Cadillac ATS-V
Rumour has it that Cadillac are working on an even faster and more powerful version of the ATS-V, possibly to be called the ATS-V+. The latest intel from Motor Trend leads us to believe that this new model might just have a big V8 under the hood!

The V8 in question is the 7.0 litre LS7 from the Camaro Z/28. The hand-built engine has over 500 bhp and 481 pound-feet of torque in the Z/28. This is a big increase in power compared to the Cadillacs current 3.6 litre, twin turbo V6, which only pushes out 464 bhp. It is thought that the ATS-V+ will be released with an eight-speed auto transmission, as well as a seven-speed manual, as seen in the Corvette.

If the rumours are true....this could be a right beast!

I doubt it - the LSx platform has effectively been replaced by the new LT1 and LT4 engines. Either one would be nice, but if they fit the supercharged version from the C7Z06 it will be one hot Caddy!
