    Picture Gallery Slow

When viewing the gallery eg:- http://www.solent-renegades.co.uk/albumall.php
It is taking ages to load up all the thumbnail images. That because of how its written, each time an image is requested, it's actually a script referring to the database for each image. Cant think why they would even want to do it that way.

Well it's because of this over bloated forum. So how fast can it be?.... well check out this link:- http://www.solent-renegades.co.uk/htmltest_thumb.html, more images and it loads a lot lot faster.

We do get links shared to the website for the photos gallery from many sources. It's not mobile freindly either.

My plan is to make the web pages looks similar to the current gallery. Still grabs the information from the database, which is simple enough to do. Make it mobile freindly. I've been meaning to do something with this for some time. Advantage of faster gallery flicking, and being mobile freindly, may even pull in more visitors.

Downloading all the images at the moment, over 110,000 files totalling 4.7Gb. The reason for the download is that I can run the code locally. Also copying the database, then I can use this to generate the pages to display the images.

Once I'm happy with it working locally. I'll upload the Gallery Viewer page, so we could use either way to view the images, but eventually I'll phase out the current one. Looking forward to seeing how whizzy I can get it all going.

At present its taking around 20 seconds to load everything on http://www.solent-renegades.co.uk/albumall.php with no cache.

I'd like to see it in under 2 seconds.
