Debaffling the hood probably adds no performance, but some people on the ls1tech forum have done it, so I gave it a go. One draw back is driving in terrential rain as there is a chance of getting the air filter wet. Havng a K&N filter it wont damage the filter, and a little water in the engine wont harm it. In the hood there are a couple of rivits, by drilling these out it releases the baffle. To get a performance gain it would be best to use a rubber / foam seal to mate the air box with the hood for the raim air to have a better effect. |
