  1. Chip tuning

As most of you know I plug in my laptop into the Trans-Am to do some tweaking. This gives you a whole range of functions including some functions to damage the engine if you really wanted, although I try to avoid that.

Have you ever wanted to tweak your daily driver for better efficiency or more power. Well I came across this Definition of chiptuning website, its basically a plug in module that the user can get extra power from the engine.

The operation is really simple: ...

  2. Cleaned the Air filter

I have a K&N washable air filter for the Trans-Am. The liquid cleaner and oil was in the garage all ready. The garage door needs attention as the wood is crumbling away, someone will be going to sort that on Monday, need to get the Camaro out of there to make it easier to work on. Having no TV isn't a good time, and need to do some work in the evenings, emailing off some circuit boards so without internet is a tad annoying, I could use data on phone.

I've called Virgin, we have 10 months left to go on the contract, and to ...

  5. Temperature Sensor on the Trans-Am

Thanks Laceytree for adding events-imag2247.jpgA couple of years back myself and Paul changed the engine mounts on the car. The temperature sensor was knocked, taking off the plastic housing. So all i was left with was a couple of prongs. The female connector would almost make contact, enough to get me home.
Once I got it home I made up some wires that I could poke in the holes, and used some small crimps to go to the pins coming out of the sensor. I ordered a new sensor which came within a week. The mod worked ...
